Welcome to Brumley's Brussels Griffons. 

The best way to describe the Brussels is that they are "happy, happy, happy".  The breed loves everyone and gets along with all dogs, cats and people.  The Brussels does shed, but it sheds a very small amount and mostly in the Spring.  Most times it is never noticed.
The Brussels Griffon is of toy size.  He was developed in Belgium from a native street dog called a Stable Griffon. Stable Griffons were closer in size to the Fox Terrier than to the Brussels Griffon of today.  He carried a hard coat that was a muddy color.  In the 1880's the Belgian breeders took interest and crossed the stable dog with a number of toy breeds.  Including the Toy Spaniel, Pug, and the Affenpinscher.  These crossings resulted in the Brussels Griffon of today. Today's Brussels Griffon is very striking and different from all dogs. The Brussels Griffon is a rugged dog.  He is capable of holding his own.  His up turned nose and sparkling eyes give him an almost human expression. His ears are sometimes cropped.  His remarkable intelligence has made him a success in obedience competition. Brussels Griffon is known in United Kingdom as "Griffon Bruxellois" and is usually shown with uncropped ears. The Brussels Griffon is not, a quarrelsome breed, and can get along with other pets.
